Statistical data collected in 2009 says more than 250 million people are diagnosed cases of diabetes in the whole world. It was estimated at the same time that number will touch 380 million figures by the end of 2025. Diabetics are generally at an increased risk of developing heart strokes and attacks. The reason is that diabetic condition accelerates the plaque formation process and finally results in the obstruction of arteries.

It was once noticed that many people were suffering from diabetes but they were unaware of their medical condition. Studies have revealed that early diagnosis is important for reducing the chances of complications. Some generally seen signs of diabetes are

    • Extreme hunger
    • Excessive thirst
    • Extreme fatigue
    • Unexplained weight loss
    • Numbness or tingling in hands and feet
    • Stomach pain
    • Weak and tired feelings
    • Lack of mental concentration

The most important thing about diabetes is the complication that it causes. Most of us already knew about the physical problems caused by diabetes but most of us ignore the emotional reaction of diabetics. Researches have revealed that diabetics have an increased risk of suffering from diabetes when compared with non diabetics. Diabetics feel more disappointed, sad and mourn more for them. Some feel depressed because of the fear of diabetic complications. It is true that diabetics have to regularly go through diabetic screening, blood test and eat a specified diet that make them feel deprived as well as depressed.

How diabetes can be treated without medication

First thing that diabetics must avoid is to consume foods that are rich in sugar as well as fats. The examples of such foods are jams, cookies, honey, sweets, biscuits, cakes, soft drinks, chocolates and juices.

    High fat foods includes

    • Fat cheese
    • Fried food
    • Fresh cream
    • Butter
    • Sausages
    • Pastry
    • Meat
    • Potato chips
    • Bakery items
    • Mayonnaise

Further avoid consuming eggs. Researches have revealed that consumption of one egg a day increases the risk of developing type 2 diabetes. It is safer to have one egg in a week. A study conducted on 57000 men and women over the years revealed that this risk is even more in case of women compared to men. It is also good to lose some weight even if you are slightly overweight. Studies have reveled that around 80% diagnosed case of diabetes were either overweight or obese. These are some natural ways of reversing the diabetic condition. It is important to understand that diabetes is not the end of the life. Rather it is a disease that can be treated with the help of simple lifestyle change.
